Is it possible to get a reasonable deal on ebay. . . I just started looking for Samantha's trunk, and they are running $100 + in addition to $20-$30 shipping. . .with the code I might as well buy new. Is this about normal?
Also, are these items really worth the cash? I've always wanted to trunks, but they seem so expensive - are the quality made, do they age well with use?

I don't know about eBay, but I have Josefina's and Samantha's trunks, and I love both! I should be getting the new clothes press for Christmas, and I'm going to be slowly acquiring the rest of the trunks. (I'm hoping to get one a year at MCM) I love them. I know some people have issues fitting everything in them, but I haven't had those problems, and I think they're GREAT.

I was able to get both Molly's and Samantha's trunks on Ebay. Both were PM. Molly's had never been used and was still less than from AG with the code especially with tax & shipping. Smantha's was used but in excellent shape. I paid more for hers but I wanted the one with the PM brass logo. The older trunks are paper lined. I believe the new ones are vinyl lined. If you use the metal hangers rather than the plastic ones the trunks will hold all the clothes.

I have Josefina's trunk and I love it. It is probably my favorite of her items next to the piano. It is very well made and holds tons of stuff. If the rest of the trunks are as nice as hers, I am interested in getting them even at the current prices. I guess I'll just have to start saving.

I'm on the same purchase plan as mayergirl. I got Kit's this year at MCM. It's so beautiful and well-made. Dianasmama got Josefina's and it is just gorgeous. I'll get it next year...or Addy's...or Kirsten's...or Samantha's...or Molly's.
